The new executive committee was elected this year. The alumni association welcomed our first permanent female principal Prof. (Dr.) Rama. She was felicitated by the Honorable speaker of Delhi Assembly Sh. Ram Niwas Goel. HRCAA got registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The alumni association gave financial aid to about 200 students for their educational expenditure. In order to appreciate the fighting spirit of visually challenged students, the alumni association presented cash awards of Rs 5000/- and Rs 3000/- to Mr Deepak Mittal and Mr Vishal respectively (final year students of Hindi (H)). In collaboration with Bihari Lal Ishwar Prasad Goel Trust, the alumni association distributed 363 saplings to 363 students in memory of Bishnoi Martyrs. The annual get-together ‘Convergence 2019’ was held on 3rd February 2019. It began with chanting of the sacred Gayatri Mantra and Vedic hymns in obeisance to our gods. It was followed by the President's address, Secretary’s report, presentation of annual accounts by the treasurer and release of souvenir. Chief guest of the function was Admiral D.K. Joshi (Lieutenant Governor, Andaman and Nicobar Islands). The guests of honor were Sh. Ram Niwas Goel (honorable speaker, Delhi Legislative Assembly), Padma Shri Prof. V.S. Chauhan (Chairman, NAAC) and Shri S.S. Shastri (ex-Minister for Agriculture and member of Planning Commission). Cultural programs and interesting fun-filled games were organized. The distinguished services of Dr. Bijender Singh (Chemistry Department) and Dr Neelam Gandhi (Zoology Department) who superannuated during the last year were acknowledged.
